-Is it too hot or too cold for certain crops?

-Does it have enoug chill hours ( under 45 degrees) for certain fruit.

-Other jobs, etc.

SITE Considerations:

Slope

Hills

Water?

WATER:

Source, where does it come from?

Is there a well? How does it pump?

Is there potential for it to run dry?

Are there water rights to a stream?

Is a pump available, how old and how much?

INFRASTRUCTURE:

Irrigation: Are there buried main lines in place? Is there water storage?

Who will pay for the improvements

-Fencing

-Put buildings

-Power? Solar? Electric gas?

EQUIPMENT:

Does the owner have equipment for use: rent or purchase.

Can you store the equipment on site.

Are the time allotments for noise?

HOUSING:

Affordable Housing

-Does housing come with property?

Is it below market rate?

Will the owner be willing to reduce rental rate with cultivation of property.

RELATIONSHIPS:
